Music Credits
The original music on this site was created with a several tools, some of which may have included: Timidity (a wavetable synthesizer), Fluidsynth (ditto), Rosegarden (a MIDI sequencer), Audacity (audio recording software), and Zynaddsubfx (a soft-synth). Custom software was written in Guido van Rossum's fine language, Python. MIDI sequencing for the update recording was done with Qtractor.
Over:unitY was made with a slightly different stack, but again it was made entirely with open-source software. The DAW used was Ardour; Yoshimi
(a fork of Zynaddsubsynth) was used as a soft-synth; CSound (along with the Cabbage wrapper) was also used for sound generation; Calf studio gear
were used for effects and sonic processing. Drums were done in Hydrogen.
Instrument tuning tables were created with an open-source project I created specifically for examining microtonal music, PyTuning.
